چکیده

Breast cancer is the most common worldwide. Tumor metastasis cause of death in breast cancer. In view high mortality patients, there a need to identify new prognostic biomarkers. IMP3 has role induction Epithelial-Mesenchymal Transition (EMT) and SLUG an EMT marker. Both these have been implicated metastasis. Hence, might prove be potential therapeutic targets future. This was retrospective study conducted on 60 carcinoma cases tertiary care center North India using tissue microarrays. Demographic clinicopathological details were recorded. Immunohistochemistry for performed. Their IHC expression evaluated terms percentage cell-positivity semi-quantitatively intensity staining (weak= 1, moderate= 2 strong= 3). Data recorded pre-designed proforma analyzed. positivity found 87% 90% cases. significantly associated with tumor size (p = 0.03) TNM stage 0.024). showed significant association histological grade 0.009), 0.036) molecular subtype 0.03). immunoexpression 0.006) its age 0.025) 0.004). A highly <0.001) between intensities <0.001). Significant correlation also cell positivities proves them poor markers. Also, positive highlights their proposed invasiveness aggressiveness via carcinomas. SLUG-based targeted therapies useful treatment carcinoma.

Evaluation of the prognostic value of CD117 and CK20 biomarkers in urinary bladder carcinoma

Background: Over-expression of CD117 and cytokeratin 20 (CK20) is seen in many malignancies. Given that few studies have been conducted regarding the role of these biomarkers in the etiology of bladder tumours, this study aimed to evaluate the prognostic value of CD117 and CK 20 biomarkers in the benign and malignant tumours of urinary bladder carcinoma. Methods: This case-control study was co...

Prognostic value of measurement of elastosis in breast carcinoma.

The extent of elastosis in the stroma within the anatomical "tumour" in 80 patients with breast carcinoma was assessed by observational microscopy using a 4-point grading system, and measured by semiautomated histometry as an area percentage with a Quantimet 720 image-analysing computer. In this retrospective study, measurement of elastosis in tissue removed at time of initial diagnosis was sho...

Background Rectal biopsy and its histopathological study with hematoxylin and eosin (HE) is the gold standard for Hirschsprung's disease (HD) diagnosis. However, there are some limitations in the diagnosis of ganglion cells in HE approach. Recently, it was reported that the utility of Calretinin is a reliable ancillary immunohistochemistry (IHC) test for HD diagn...
